Wallcoverings
the pros love!
We did a survey of the professionals
on the American Paperhanging Network. We asked them which wallcovering
they found the easiest (over all) to install.
The winner by a good measure
was EISENHART Wallcoverings! This is some of what the professionals
had to say:
- Eisnehart also has a dark
gray backing that hides seems on dark papers...works GREAT (Dave &
Martha)
- What do you love to hang?
In a word: Eisenhart. Nowadays, it seems like the stuff nearly hangs
itself. (Clyde)
- The easiest "real"paper
that I have hung. (Chris)
- Without a doubt, Eisenhart
is the best...I call it a "peaches and cream" day when I
see it waiting for me at the job. It just "handles" with
such ease and looks great when complete. (CharlotS)
- It seems there's a "thumbs
up" for Eisenart (or is it Eisenhart?) and I agree with that.
I've had a chance to hang a lot of it, and it is consistently easy
to hang. The edges are straight, the pretrimming to the match is excellent
and the seams roll easily and are invisible. (Debbie)
These Wallcoverings also
got high marks:
- Blonders last two books
Textural Transitions 4, Galaxis, are great books easy to install wallpaper.
(Jerry)
- For an American pick,
I would choose Sanitas euro-width pre-pasted. The pre-pasting is generally
usable and a DIYer won't get into much trouble even if they don't
do a great prep job (DIYers, by nature abhor all prep-work--they want
to be able to dip and go). Since it isn't hi-shrink, you could probably
hang it directly over garbage paint, cross fingers, and get a good
result (you might even be lucky enough to remove it later). (Jim)
